Future Directions

This document describes features Noospera is actively designing but has not yet released. We are publishing it so that users, partners, and the public can see where we are headed. It is non-binding. It creates no commitment on Noospera's part to deliver any specific feature, on any timeline, on any specific terms; and it creates no commitment on your part to participate.

What Noospera is

Noospera is a service that takes the history of your conversations with AI — the working notes, debugging sessions, research dives, half-finished arguments, professional puzzles you have been thinking through with an assistant for months or years — and turns it into an interactive three-dimensional map of the topics you have explored. You upload an export from a large-language-model provider (such as ChatGPT). Noospera processes it: it embeds each message, identifies coherent groupings of related conversations, summarizes each grouping into a short card and a longer essay, and writes a personal summary describing the overall topology of your thinking — the territories you keep returning to, the tensions between them, the throughline. Today, that map is a private tool: only you can see your own. The licensing capability described below is what we are designing on top of that foundation.

A few terms appear throughout this document and across the rest of the site. They are technical terms internal to the product, not legal terms of art:

• Limning — the verb for the processing pipeline that Noospera performs on your uploaded conversation history. To limn is to look closely at something and draw out its structure.
• Your noospera — the interactive map that the limning produces. A noospera is one user's; you have one, and only you can see it, unless and until you opt in to a licensing arrangement under the framework described below.
• Noemas — the thematic groupings within your noospera. Each noema is a coherent thought-object: a region of your noospera where related conversations cluster around a common topic, problem, or sensibility. Every noema has a short summary card and a longer essay describing what part of your thinking it represents.
• Extended mind — the philosophical claim that the record of how you have thought, especially through AI conversation, forms an externalised part of your cognition. Noospera is a way to look at that extended mind directly.

The licensing future

Today, Noospera is a personal tool for seeing how you think. We are building toward a second capability on top of it: letting you license your own noospera — or selected parts of it — to organisations that want to learn from the kind of thinking you do. When that capability is live, you will be able to:

• Choose which noemas, slices, or whole noosperas you are willing to make available, and which stay private.
• Set the terms under which they may be accessed — pricing, permitted uses, allowed buyer categories, exclusivity windows.
• Withdraw what you have offered at any time, on terms set out in the licensing agreement that will be in force at that time.
• Receive compensation for any license, on terms we will publish before this feature is enabled.

We will publish a detailed licensing framework — including the operative agreement, payment mechanics, dispute process, and any platform fee — before the first license is offered. Until that framework is published, no statement on this page should be read as a binding offer or as defining specific commercial terms.

What you keep

The foundational principles we are designing toward, which the licensing framework will operationalise:

• Ownership. Your noospera and its component noemas are yours. Offering a license grants access on agreed terms; it does not transfer ownership.
• Granularity. Anything you have not explicitly elected to make available stays private. Consent is per-noema, not all-or-nothing.
• Reversibility. You will be able to remove a noema from the licensing surface. Copies already provided to a buyer under an executed license remain subject to that license's terms, and we cannot retrieve them.
• Transparency. You will always be able to see which of your material has been licensed, to whom (by category at minimum), and on what terms.

What this will not be

To prevent misunderstanding:

• We do not, and will not, license your data to anyone without your explicit, opt-in, written consent obtained at the time of that specific licensing action. Acceptance of our current Terms of Service does not constitute consent to any future licensing.
• We do not train our own models on your conversations, your noospera, or any data derived from them. We use third-party models (currently OpenAI) only to perform the limning pipeline you paid for, under their data-processing terms.
• We are not a substitute for legal advice on whether you may license content from your own AI conversations. Some conversations contain third-party content, personal information about others, or material subject to professional obligations (legal privilege, medical confidentiality, employer confidentiality, etc.). Whether you may license a given noema is your responsibility, and our Acceptable Use Policy will continue to define what may not be uploaded or offered.

No current commitment

Nothing on this page is an offer, a contract, or a promise to deliver a feature. Noospera may change, delay, or abandon any of the directions described here for any reason and without notice. Specifically:

• We make no commitment to a timeline.
• We make no commitment to a particular pricing model, revenue split, or buyer category.
• We make no commitment that any particular user, account, or cohort will receive priority access to, or any preferential treatment in, this future capability.
• If you wish to participate when this capability becomes available, you will need to opt in then, under the licensing agreement in force at that time. Your current use of Noospera does not pre-enroll you, and the licensing agreement is not incorporated into your current Terms of Service.

How we will communicate changes

When the licensing framework becomes available, we will:

• Publish the operative agreement at a stable URL on this site and link it from the navigation.
• Notify users who have an account with us, via the email address on file, at least 14 days before the feature is enabled.
• Provide an explicit opt-in flow within the product — no licensing will become active on your noospera until you complete that flow.
